Literature Text
'Why am I shaking?'
Tell me. Why are you shaking?
Silence.
Do you know why you're here?
'No.'
No?
'Well... It's because I have to, isn't it?'
You have to. Why?
'They're making me come?'
You don't sound convinced.
Silence.
Do you want me to help you?
'With what?'
With anything, I suppose.
'I don't need help.'
You don't?
'That's right.'
Then why are you shaking?
'I'm not...'
Not shaking?
'I never said that.'
But you were going to.
Silence.
Are you shaking?
'Yes.'
Why?
Silence.
'I suppose... I suppose it's because I can't stop.'

finding your lullaby.
this is for you.
for all of you.
for those who are but are not.
for those who believe love is just a chemical reaction.
for those who are nothing but static on the mainstream radio.
for those who will never know forever.
for those who live in the highs and lows of the roller-coaster ocean breeze.
for those who hurt themselves because they're afraid of hurting anyone else.
for those whose cries have been drowned by the summer rain.
for those who have been mistaken for God.
for those who battle a thousand soldiers of themselves just to find who they really are.
for those who are nothing

Like Tomorrow Will Never Come
We're still young,
with s i n g s o n g children's voices in our throats,
and beautiful muddy footprints in our hearts.
We're still beautiful,
with lopsided smiles,
and laughs that make the sun's heart ache.
So grab my hand,
and I'll show you the sunshine,
hidden under bluebell wings,
and butterfly petals.
We'll run in circles,
just to make my dress twirl,
and our lungs burn
(in the good kind of way.)
We'll jump in the rain,
with laughter pealing
like thunderclaps,
trying to outscream the storm.
We'll camp under the stars,
with only the velvet black canopy as our tent,
counting the stars,
and naming each one after

What Do You See?
"Looking in the mirror, what do you see?"
I see a girl that cries too much
I see a child being excluded
I see me
A loner wanting friends
I see eyes that change with the mood
Wishing they were more blue than grey
I see a teen contemplating suicide again
I see a woman hurt and rejected
I see a child who always feels unwanted
Whose parents make it clear she never was
I see a widow crying for her lost love
I see a child cowering in fear
Her parents fighting again
I see the girl stabbed in the back by a friend
I see a lonely girl wanting to be held
And be told that everything will be alright
I see the pained expression of a girl d

On behalf of #The-Writers-Review:
This is absolutely brilliant. It drew me in instantly when I read the title - then when I saw that it was basically a conversation, I was slightly dubious (even though I write conversations out myself, haha).
However, the way you wrote the dialogue is, like I said, brilliant. I usually dislike just dialogue because it never seems to go anywhere or have any impact unless the writer is a good one. But you nailed it... and now I want to know whoever these characters are and what the situation was - if they even exist outside of this piece (and I'd be so pleased if they did).
Keep up the good work! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h…" width="15" height="13" alt="" title="Heart"/>
